This course will introduce the learner to the role of the Trust and Investments department in ensuring that the institution remains compliant with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act. The course will familiarize the learner with the Act itself, in addition to how, when, and why to file CTRs and SARs.The course will also discuss how to apply BSA requirements to other aspects of the institution’s operations.   • The financial institution’s responsibilities and role in preventing and detecting elder financial abuse.
  • How to empower elderly customers to better protect them from abuse.
  • The role of Adult Protective Services.

The course will familiarize the learner with price fixing and bid rigging and how these violations can be avoided. Additionally, this course will cover corporate mergers and foreign anti-trust guidelines. After completing this course, the learner will understand:

  • The various ways in which corporations can merge.
